Programme Overview
Pepkor Lifestyle is offering an exciting opportunity for young South Africans to join the Wholesale & Retail SETA Funded Learnership Programme 2026. This 12-month learnership is designed for vibrant, passionate individuals eager to gain practical experience and build a successful career in the retail industry.
Successful applicants will gain hands-on exposure across leading retail brands within the Pepkor group, including HiFi Corporation, Incredible Connection, Bradlows, Sleepmasters, Russells, and Rochester.
This programme aims to equip learners with essential retail and workplace skills while preparing them for long-term employment opportunities in the wholesale and retail sector. Learnerships are available across all nine provinces in South Africa.
Key Responsibilities and Learning Areas
During the learnership, participants will receive training and practical experience in the following areas:
- Customer service and assisting shoppers on the sales floor
- Visual merchandising and maintaining product displays
- Basic English communication skills
- Fundamental mathematics for retail operations
- Processing transactions and handling payments using POS systems
- Understanding the wholesale and retail business environment
- Opening and managing customer accounts
- Stock control and loss prevention
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the Pepkor SETA Learnership 2026, applicants must:
- Have a Grade 12 / Matric certificate (or equivalent)
- Be a South African citizen
- Have no criminal record
- Be willing to commit to a 12-month learnership programme
- Applicants with and without disabilities are encouraged to apply
