- Electrician: Electrical Trade Theory and Industrial Electronics or Engineering Drawings
- Diesel Mechanic: Diesel or Motor Trade Theory and Engineering Drawings
- Mechanical Fitter: Fitting Trade Theory and Engineering Drawings
- Instrument Mechanician: Instrument Trade Theory and Industrial Electronics
- Auto Electrician: Motor Electrical Trade Theory and Industrial Electronics
- Millwright: Electrical and Fitting Trade Theories, Engineering Drawings, or Industrial Electronics
OR Option 3: NCV Level 4
- NCV Level 4 in a relevant trade
- All subjects passed with a minimum of 40%
