About the 2025 Nampak Learnerships Program
In partnership with Optimum Learning Technologies, Nampak is proud to announce the 2025 intake of its Production Operator Learnership Programme, set to commence on 1 October 2025. The learnership spans 12 months and combines classroom training with hands-on experience in Nampak’s dynamic manufacturing facilities. Successful candidates will report directly to the Operational Technical Trainer and will engage in real-world operational tasks to develop job-specific skills.
What You Can Expect
Participants will undergo comprehensive training to develop core competencies in production operations. This includes:
- Formal classroom instruction facilitated by accredited trainers.
- On-the-job training in a real manufacturing environment.
- Job rotation and shadowing to gain exposure to various roles within the production line.
- Development of technical, safety, and teamwork skills essential in manufacturing operations.
- Adherence to Nampak’s plant safety protocols and operational procedures at all times.
The goal is to promote skills transfer, competence, and flexibility, making learners work-ready by the end of the programme.
Who Can Apply for the 2025 Nampak Learnerships Program?
To qualify for the Nampak Learnerships Programme 2025, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- South African citizenship is mandatory.
- Matric certificate with:
- Mathematics and Physical Science (minimum 40%)
- English proficiency
- A National Technical Certificate (N1–N3) will be a strong advantage.
- Must be unemployed (18.2 category) and available for the full duration of the learnership.
- Basic computer literacy is essential.
- Must reside within a 50km radius of Nampak Springs.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude.
- A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn in a structured environment.

Screening and Selection Process
All applicants will undergo a rigorous screening and assessment process. Placement into the programme will be based on the outcome of these evaluations. Only the most suitable candidates will be selected to join the 2025 learnership intake.
