Learnership Opportunities Available at Canyon Coal – 2025 Intake
Canyon Coal is currently accepting applications for its 2025 learnership programme at its Gugulethu Colliery, located in Mpumalanga. The available learnership opportunities are in the following fields:
- Diesel Mechanic (x2 positions)
- Auto Electrician (x1 position)
- Electrician (x1 position)
These learnerships are ideal for candidates with a strong interest in technical work and who are eager to gain practical, hands-on experience in a mining environment.
Minimum Entry Requirements
To be eligible for the 2025 Canyon Coal Learnership Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen with a valid SA Identity Document (ID).
- Must have successfully completed Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and Physical Science as subjects.
- Must have completed a relevant N2 qualification in the trade you are applying for (Diesel Mechanic, Auto Electrician, or Electrician).
- Must be medically fit and able to work in a mining environment (proof of medical fitness may be required).
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong work ethic will be an added advantage.
