Programme Overview:
Toyota South Africa is proud to offer a comprehensive Maintenance Learnership Programme for 2025, designed to equip passionate and ambitious individuals with the foundational skills and technical knowledge required to excel in the automotive manufacturing industry.
This structured learning opportunity combines both theoretical instruction and practical workplace experience, ultimately leading to a National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Level 3 Certification upon successful completion.
Purpose of the Learnership:
The primary goal of this learnership is to provide learners with a solid grounding in maintenance and production processes within a world-class manufacturing environment. Participants will gain hands-on experience while learning how to apply industry standards in safety, production, and technical operations.
Through this programme, learners will receive training in the following key areas:
- Working effectively in a team environment
- Health and safety in the workplace
- Proper use and maintenance of hand tools
- Understanding and interpreting assembly and manufacturing drawings
- Marking off materials for manufacturing purposes
- Basic welding principles and techniques
- Operating and monitoring production machinery
- Surface preparation techniques
- Basic fire-fighting procedures
- Operational tasks and product dispatch processes
Minimum Requirements:
To be considered for the Toyota Maintenance Learnership Programme, applicants must meet the following academic and technical criteria:
- National Technical Certificate (N3 – N6); OR
- Matric / Technical Matric with a focus on the following subjects:
- Mathematics
- Physical Science or Engineering Science
- Electrical Trade Theory, Mechanical Trade Theory, or Motor Trade Theory
- Mechanical Drawing or Engineering Graphics and Design
