Key Responsibilities
Kitchen & Food Preparation
- Prepare and cook KFC menu items quickly, safely, and accurately.
- Manage multiple orders while ensuring timely preparation.
- Cut, portion, and prepare ingredients according to order requirements.
- Ensure all food items are correctly packaged and presented.
- Follow preparation charts and build guides for wrapping and assembling meals.
- Maintain proper food storage to preserve freshness and prevent spoilage.
- Receive, unload, and store food deliveries safely and neatly.
- Monitor stock levels and inform management when supplies are running low.
- Verify all prepared food meets KFC’s quality and portion standards.
- Follow all cleaning, hygiene, and closing procedures.
Customer Service & Front of House
- Greet customers with a warm and friendly attitude.
- Promote menu items, specials, and promotions.
- Accurately ring up orders using the till or POS system.
- Process payments (cash, debit, credit) with precision.
- Assist customers at the counter, drive-thru, or over the phone
- Deliver orders to customers promptly at windows, counters, or tables.
- Keep the dining and service areas neat, organised, and presentable.
- Provide additional support wherever needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
Job Requirements
To qualify for this part-time position, you must have:
- A Matric certificate
- Clear criminal record
- Residence within 15 km of the hiring KFC branch
Preferred (Not Required) Qualifications
These are advantages but not mandatory:
- Previous experience as a Crew Member or Team Member
- Age between 22 and 34
