About the Transnet Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme 2025
The Transnet WIL Learnership Programme offers non-technical experiential learning for students who have completed their theoretical studies. The programme allows participants to:

- Boost employment opportunities after graduation
Key Responsibilities (Position Outputs)
As a WIL Trainee at Transnet, you will:
- Support departmental projects and day-to-day operational tasks
- Perform administrative duties such as document management and report compilation
- Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to meet business objectives
- Assist with process improvement initiatives and prepare presentations using Microsoft Office
- Act as a central contact point for queries and task updates
- Follow Transnet’s safety regulations, company policies, and professional standards
Learning & Development Opportunities
During the programme, trainees will:
- Attend structured training sessions and workshops
- Participate in mentorship and job-shadowing opportunities
- Engage in real-time problem-solving and decision-making activities

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for the Transnet WIL Learnership 2025, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Aged between 18 – 35 years
- Hold a Matric Certificate (or equivalent qualification)
- Completed N6 in Office Administration or N6 in Business Management
- Must have no current bursary obligations with another organisation
- Must provide the following certified documents:
- Matric certificate
- Academic record
- South African ID
- TVET college experiential learning letter
