What is the Eskom YES Learnership Programme?
The Eskom YES Learnership is part of the Youth Employment Service initiative, a public-private collaboration aimed at tackling the youth unemployment crisis in South Africa. This program gives young individuals the chance to gain real-world work experience within the energy industry.
Successful applicants will be placed in Eskom operations across all nine provinces, gaining practical skills and exposure to one of South Africa’s key infrastructure sectors.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be a South African citizen
- Aged between 18 and 34 years
- Must have a Grade 12 (Matric) or an equivalent post-matric qualification
- Must not be studying full-time during the learnership period
- Must not have been permanently employed for more than 1 year
- Must not have previously participated in a YES programme
